PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
From government network administration to artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Dominick Strippoli graduated from Hauppauge High School on Long Island, New York. From an early age, he showed an unusual ease with technology and computer systems and developed a strong desire to understand how they worked. He began learning to program in Visual Basic and steadily expanded his technical knowledge from there.
While still in high school, Dominick was recruited by his network administration professor to work in the Suffolk County government’s Management Information Systems Department. From age 16 through age 18, he served as a paid network administrator intern and became the youngest person in the history of Suffolk County government to work in that capacity. The position carried an exceptional level of trust and responsibility. He was granted primary administrative access to highly sensitive county credentials, network drives, and information systems serving the entire county government, including the police department, parks, civil service, and other agencies.
His work ranged from installing servers and operating systems to running fiber-optic cable through government facilities. He also handled maintenance calls and support tickets, including printer troubleshooting and repairs to desktop and laptop computers used by civil service employees, court personnel, and other county workers.
After high school, Dominick attended the University at Albany in Albany, New York. He graduated with a degree in business administration and communication, together with a sub-focus in computer programming.
Following college, he applied his business education by taking over the family business as General Manager. Located in Port Washington, New York, the company was a 45-year-old retail garden center operated by his grandfather and his father, Joe. By his fifth year, Dominick had transformed the company into a substantially more technology-driven operation. He developed its website, restructured the retail business and its ordering practices, doubled saleable inventory and operating capacity, and doubled retail sales. Before he joined the company, annual revenue was slightly below $1 million; under his leadership, the business became a multimillion-dollar enterprise.
After 10 years, Dominick was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. After 18 years with the company, his father and grandfather decided to restructure the business. Rather than negotiate a takeover arrangement, Dominick chose to retire from the family company at a comparatively young age and establish his own software development business.
In late 2020, he founded AI Creations Now Software Development. The company develops highly specific, needs-based software and recommends hardware upgrades designed to improve data-center performance and address the requirements of the end user. The business grew from Dominick’s fascination with artificial intelligence and his renewed passion for software development—the same passion that began during his childhood.
Today, his technical interests include corporate hardware technologies, particularly GPU technology; bare-metal, high-bandwidth and high-throughput servers; NVMe storage combined with DDR RAM caching; and methods for enabling corporate deferred-write RAM caching together with high-frequency backups to secondary NVMe drives for redundancy.
Over the last six years, Dominick has built a growing client list that includes private clients and large corporate organizations. Because the company serves a highly specialized industry, much of its business is generated through word-of-mouth referrals. Every engagement is custom quoted, and projects may require travel throughout the United States and around the world.
